Hero's are the beacon that our society follow and our younger generation hope to become someday. Basically they define our future, molding the thinking and personalities of our younger lot.
The question i am putting up today that are we selecting our hero's on the right terms. The singers, actors and sportsmen by no means are worthless, They are important but are they more important then the researchers, scientists and may be farmers who grow food for us.
Our kids look up to Messi, Ronaldo, Justin Bieber and famous actors like Angelina Jolie. I know these people provide entertainment but is entertainment more important then the food or the medical care that is provided by the people we don't really care about much anyways.
We never bother about the people like Abdul Sattar Ehdi who provided so much for the society. People like Faiz M. Khan who wrote a book on Medical physics which is consider as a Bible of the field. Charles Darvin, Einstein, Marie Curie, Tesla, Dr. Adrian Kantrowitz. Reality is that yes we know there name may be watched a movie about them but never our kids want to become them. Never we want to become a farmer and grow food. These people are the real hero's. We can live without T.V or music. But can we live without the Medicine and the engineering fields.
This is the time we need to portray these researchers and doctors as hero's. Our younger generation need to know that Superman will never come to help you when you are hurt, A doctor will him him his is your hero be like him. The real hero's are the men you have work hard in life acquiring knowledge not dancing or singing, these fields where secondary.
It is my point of view. The real cool and amazing people are those who work hard and all there effort are on productive tasks. Helping the world. They are my Hero's.
